CONTACT FILE VERIFIER:
For GoldBox-7 and GoldBox-SQL: You can now choose to evaluate all Character fields in the User-Defined Field Table (CONTACT2). GoldBox will list the fields, the designed width of each, and also the Longest Value found. This is ideal when you wish to trim down a CONTACT2 table with many unused fields to improve the table’s performance and efficiency. Often, a number of fields are initially added to CONTACT2, but then are never used. It also provides the opportunity to reduce widths on some fields, if desired.
(NOTE: For ALL 3 GoldBox releases, the Unique Value Listing and Filled Field Count now show field widths and longest value found in character fields.)
Another feature requested for this popular “dashboard” data generator was added for GX7 and GXSQL. You can launch the Verifier with custom settings from GoldMine, the desktop, Start/Run or a GoldBox View. In the launch command, you designate just those segments you wish to be evaluated and printed. Screen shot on the Web site:

VIRTUAL LINK via SQL QUERY Function:
VLinkByQuery() is a terrific item in GoldBox because, with a function call in a Batch Operation or from a GoldBox View, you can link out and access matched records in another database. For example, a GoldBox Import / Update takes Source records and matches them to Main Contacts. VLinkByQuery extends this capability by allowing you to live-link with not one, not two, but up to five separate databases during the operation. You can literally link to data found in Access, MSSQL, Oracle and FoxPro simultaneously. The change added to version 2009-A: Up to 5 iterations of this powerful function per batch operation or View, as VLinkByQuery, VLinkByQry2, VLinkByQry3, VLinkByQry4 and VLinkByQry5.
