The GM+View, introduced in GoldMine 6.0, can display relevant information about the contact you are on from just about any web site out there.
One of the most useful is a map to the current contact’s location! Notice the contact’s address below is mapped on the GM+View in MapQuest.
Great for finding out how to get to a client or prospect's office before leaving!
To set this up go to File | Configure | GM+View or Web | GM+View in GoldMine Premium Edition. Note: You do need Master Rights to do this.
Then click the New button.
Type in the Template name, e.g. Map Quest, then click down into the white space below, then click on the <H> button in the upper right. This allows us to tell the view what we want to display.
Note: If your <H> button is grayed out it indicates you're using a version of GoldMine below 6.70.70226 with Internet Explorer 7.0 installed. Uninstall Internet Explorer 7.0 or, better yet, it's time for a GoldMine update.
After clicking <H> you’ll see some HTML code… Highlight all of it and delete it.
In its place copy and paste this:

Then choose Save & Exit.
Click OK from the GM+View Tab Settings screen.
Now, the GM+View tab you can select your Map Quest view!

Is there anyway to do this with google or MSN maps?
Yes, you can do that with practically any web site. You need to change the part between the “s which include the web site you’re looking at.
I tried this code, but it doesn’t work for Google maps. What do you have to type into the page to signify the fields.

I just customized the GM+View Tab to reveal contact’s website and added mapquest. Both of these seem to work fine. However, I can’t change which view to display from the GM+View Tab. I have to change the view using file, configure, GM+View Tab. Can you explain why it’s not showing up in the tab drop-down menu??

In the GM+View tab configuration make sure you have “User Selected” in the Rules button…
Is there a way to reveal other clients in proximity to a contacts record? The thinking behind this is that while you’re in the area, you might as well drop by and see others nearby.
